if it is found to be in other peoples accounts due to them taking the other side of a trade it will be hard to justify taking it from them and giving it back to the original account holders. If the money is returned it will have to be taken from other interested parties and given back to the original owner. Most likely it will be the government who makes good on the return.

In the insurance biz…major insurance companies are quick to cover ill-behaved insurance companies that go broke so as to save face for the insurance business as a whole. Maybe there is a group of similar interest in the trading world(I doubt it) they may return the money.

If it is found in other accounts due to illegal behavior...the money should be returned forthwith and prosecutions should begin and begin in earnest.

Either way, I hope Corzine gets what he deserves.
