I was on the hydrocodone apap, 7-750 ... .eight a day .... Until I finally broke down and had them slice and dice my spine, in '07 ,,,, Those suckers hardly put a dent into the pain. If I knew that I had a meeting, say a forty-five minute to an hour's drive ... I scheduled them all on Monday. I would not take any on Sunday, simply lie on the floor and writhe in pain ...So that I would have sixteen for Monday's drive. Never sat down for any meetings, I'd be the only one standing in a board room. The pain of sitting was simply too much.

Went from a cane to a quad cane, to a walker .... But, let me tell you ... I was a touch apprehensive of undergoing that surgery, as I had seen a few too many fellers in wheelchairs that had undergone that procedure. Best decision to take the risk, as seriously, I couldn't deal with the pain. I seriously considered taking out my Holland and Holland (if I go, I wanted to go with class) .... Not just passing thoughts or fancy, I was at that point.

Funny thing is, I could never understand why people would break into pharmacies and steal those suckers .... UNTIL ... around six months following my surgery, I awakened .... NO pain, whatsoever. It's like I fell asleep, squealing like a little girl in pain ... Awakened and gone .... totally gone,

So, I had some of the 7-750s left. No big deal. Around a month later, I awakened with a terrible headache, the kind where it feels as if one of your eyes is going to explode. I broke one IN HALF and took it. Within about fifteen minutes, not only was the headache gone ... I was higher than a kite. So, THAT'S why people take them ... Whoooeeee boy howdy.
